Creating sustainable work-life balance…
Studies show that work-life balance is the #1 criteria parents use to make career decisions (above even pay). The culture has shifted and parents are no longer willing to sacrifice their experience as a parent for career advancement and instead want to learn how to have both.
But the secret to work-life balance is not found in a company policy, it is found in the individuals ability to say no to an “always on” culture, to create space for uninterrupted work & rest and to believe they are not sacrificing their productivity (and career) in the process.
All my work-life balance trainings & workshops, can be customized to fit the needs of your audience. Talks can be geared to employee-resource-groups, whole companies or small teams who want to:
Take back control of their time and commitments and prevent cycles of burnout
End toxic people pleasing and perfectionist behaviors that cause stress and overworking
Learn to be present and shut down the work-brain at the end of the day

CORE WORKSHOPS:
Demystifying work-life balance
Balance is a catch-all word. It means something different to each of. Most people equate balance to multi-tasking and being able to juggle several priorities at the same time. In reality, balance is a feeling. It is a state of calm, control and “enoughness” no matter how many things you got done today. In this training I will be demystifying work-life balance, and sharing what it takes to FEEL balanced, no matter what season of life you are. You will walk away with a clear overview of what balance is, what it is not and the 3 steps it takes to achieve it.
It’s ok to let others be disappointed – how to end people pleasing
People pleasing is a behavior that prevents women from experiencing work-life balance. It causes them to say yes to too many things, to not delegate, to work late and always be available. People pleasers don’t want anyone else to feel disappointed and so they avoid conflict at all costs. But people pleasing isn’t really what you think. In this training I share the truth about people pleasing, what you’re actually trying to avoid by people pleasing and 2 things you need to do to stop the people pleasing behaviors.
How to Shut Down Your Work-Brain
In order to be 100% present with your family at the end of a workday, you must learn to shut down your work-brain and stop thinking about all the things you still have left to do. When you create a strong work-to-home transition to help your brain organize your tasks and feel good about what you accomplished, you give your brain space to let go of the workday and enter into your home life with calm presence. In this training, Rebecca will walk you through the essential 4 steps to creating a strong work-to-home transition along with the mindset required to make it effective.
"Rebecca was energetic and engaging; the steps she shared are easy to understand and the way to work through them using some examples she gave will make it usable to implement in my own balance journey."

"When my colleague suggested that we consider bringing Rebecca in to run a Speaker Series, I was intrigued. I am happy to say it went even better than we could have expected!
While our focus audience is working parents and caretakers, we found that Rebecca’s lessons on shutting off your work brain and holding boundaries (among others) resonated for everyone. Our people now have a great set of tools and new mindsets to work with as they continue to search for their own fulfilling balance."
