Fear of failure is not something to be "fixed".
It doesn’t mean you’re broken.
It doesn’t mean you might get it wrong.
It doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t move forward.
Fear of failure is just your brain’s way of keeping you safe and comfy.
For Hilary, that safe and comfy brain held her back from making a change in her career for 9 years.
The job paid too well.
Had "taken care" of her during 3 maternity leaves.
She was in a high-level position – she didn’t want to start over.
All sneaky thoughts for what if I fail?
Hilary hired me to help her get over this fear of failure and to finally make the career shift she knew she wanted.
Today, Hilary is making triple her income from her previous job. She feels happy and in control of her life, and because of her happiness, feels present for all the little moments with her kids. She is more compassionate to herself and to her 3 daughters and ultimately has learned the tools to never let fear hold her back.
The goal is not to rid of all the fear, but to be able to move forward despite it.
If she can do it, so can you.
