Creating a balanced life doesn’t feel easy in the beginning.
Your kids are still going to things that irritates you.
Your work is still going to feel full and produce stress.
You’re still going to have the urge to log on and check your email after the kids go to sleep.
You’re going to want to watch Netflix instead of connect with your spouse.
A balanced life doesn’t = easy life.
The difference is that a balanced person follows through with the things she knows she should be doing despite it not being easy.
She works at responding to her kids differently.
She works at lowering stress and taking control of her energy at work.
She doesn’t check her email at night, even if she wants to.
She chooses time with her spouse instead of Netflix.
The things she knows she should do, she does.
And then it gets easier to do it again.
And again.
And again.
To the point where the urges lessen, the stress stays low and the time with the spouse is the norm.
The hard choices in the beginning become easier the more you make them.
It’s the inertia to get going that is always the hardest part and then it gets easier from there.
In coaching, I help you create that inertia. I point you in the correct direction and walk with you every step of the way.
So when it gets hard, I’m there. When you want to quit, I’m there. When you feel lost, I’m there. When stress feels at an all-time high, I’m there.
I help it not be so hard, because it doesn’t have to be.
