When your baby was born, was she enough?
Her cute little nose. The little yawn and stretches. The way she would put her head on your shoulder. Did that feel like enough?
Did she have to DO anything to prove herself to you or was she just loveable from the moment she entered this world?
Of course she was!
She was enough just for being her. She didn’t have to PROVE anything to anyone. She didn't have to DO anything.
And the same is true for you.
You are enough, simply because you were born (just like your little one).
And yet somewhere along the way the message gets a little skewed and we learn that our "enoughness" is connected to what we achieve.
And so we push to achieve more and more, thinking that will make us feel like we are enough and that we are doing enough.
All the while forgetting that we already are.
You are already enough.
You don’t have to do anything more to prove it.
Learning to simply feel your enoughness rather than searching for it in your achievements is when you begin to feel true balance.
It takes the focus off of DOING and allows you to be fully present.
You can sit with your kids and not feel the need to work.
You can play a game and not feel like you need to clean the house.
You can work on a project and not think you should be answering your emails.
Being enough and not needing to prove it, is what puts you in the driver’s seat of life. It allows you to live guilt-free.
You CHOOSE what you do and when you do it. Now doesn’t that sound nice?
It starts with believing you are enough, simply because you exist.
You. Are. Enough. Period.
