How to be present and in the moment

What keeps you from being present and in the moment?

Is it a work task that hasn’t been done?

A household chore that isn’t complete?

A difficult headline in the news that keeps cycling in your mind?

Actually it’s none of these. These are just the surface problem.

It’s the way you are FEELING about these that keeps you from being present.

That work task that hasn’t been done makes you to feel stressed…that is keeping you from being in the moment.

That household chore that isn’t complete makes you to feel anxious…that is keeping you from being in the moment.

That difficult headline in the news makes you to feel angry….that is keeping you from being in the moment.

Emotions are what keep us from being present.

If you simply focus on the external problem you will always feel like being present is outside your control because it is completely dependent on your circumstance. It’s dependent on you feeling good.

If you focus on the underlining emotion causing you to not be present…then you will always be in control because you have the choice to fix it.

You can actually choose to feel what you want at any given moment because your emotions come from your thoughts.

To have that level of control over your emotions takes awareness and practice and something I teach all my coaching clients how to do.

If you are ready to not feel controlled by your emotions and to be present no matter what you are feeling then click here to book a free call if you want to learn how.
