You should be grateful for the extra time you get with your kids!

"You should be grateful for the extra time you get with your kids!"

Anyone hear that over the last few months?

How'd it make you feel?

If you are like most...it probably made you feel guilty. Like you are wasting an opportunity to be with your kids. Like you are doing something wrong.

But not because that is actually true.

It made you feel that way because it revealed how uncommitted and unsure you were about what you were doing.

Anytime we feel guilty or are second-guessing our self…it usually points to a lack of commitment.

For example, if you feel an immense sense of guilt for working … it means you aren’t committed to the decision to work. Instead, you feel obligated.

Commitment is doing something because you've chosen to do it.

An obligation is doing something because you have to do it.

If you don’t feel really good about a decision, you likely feel obligated, not committed.

Right now, many families are making a decision to send their kids back to daycare and are needing to recommit themselves back to work.

Many families can’t send their kids back to childcare yet and they need to recommit to their current plan (or commit to a new one).

Whatever the decision, now is the time to recommit.

To decide and feel 100% about it.

Recommit to your career.

Recommit to your family's happiness.

Recommit to feeling balanced.

This is your life...go get it!
